Tuck Stitch Boat Neck Sweater

Cast on 89 sts (45-0-44) in K1,P1 rib (use close knit bar for a tighter edge if you have a soft yarn). Insert punchcard and lock on row 1. Rib 20 rows on tension 1/1. Transfer ribber stitches to main bed. RC000. Tension 2. Unlock punchcard. Selector to tuck. Pattern 170 rows (a total of seven complete patterns). Transfer stitches for K1,P1 rib, remove punchcard, set tension to 1/1 and rib 17 rows. Cast off 17 stitches on next two rows. Cast off loosely remaining 59 stitches.
Sleeves
Cast on 35 stitches in K1,P1 rib (don't forget close knit bar, if needed). Insert punchcard and lock on row 1. Rib 20 rows at tension 1/1. Transfer ribber stitches to main bed. RC000. Tension 2. Unlock punchcard. Selector to tuck. Knit 7 rows, increase 1 st each end of row and every following 5th row until you have 69 stitches (row87). Continue straight in pattern until you have 146 rows (6 complete patterns). Knit 1 row in stocking stitch. Cast off loosely.
Making Up
Check ball band for pressing instructions. Join front and back at shoulders leaving 25 cm open at centre for neck. Attach sleeves to shoulders. Join side seams and underarm seams and that's it!
